1. Nirgundi
Nirgundi is also known as Vitex Negundo which is a five leaves chaste tree and is an evergreen medicinal shrub. It is being prescribed on inflammatory or swollen joints. The paste of its leaves is also used in relieving pain during headache. It is also applied topically for removing fetid discharge from wounds and ulcers. A decoction of leaves was had also been used to cure catarrhal fever in ancient times. Some studies indicated that many women experience a problem with breakout during their menstrual cycles so it is being used to treat that outburst of zits.
2. Tila Oil
Sesame Oil with botanical name as Sesamum indicum, is one of the oldest oil crop which has been cultivated in several parts of the world. In Ayurveda, Sesame oil is considered to be the best among all vegetable oils. Sesame is rich in Vitamin E thus acts as a natural anti-oxidant. It also contains Vitamin K and B6, Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, Calcium and Copper. It is a powerful pain reliever and has anti-itch action. The use of sesame oil alleviates Vata as sesame oil is hot and heavy in nature whereas vata being dry, cold and light in nature. Oil massage with sesame oil relieves pains and aches of the body.
3. Manjistha
Manjistha is described in the Atreya Aranyaka in the Vedic period and ancient Ayurvedic texts emphasized its role in healthcare. Rubia cordifolia is the botanical name. Manjistha is better known as a blood purifier and also has cooling properties and hence, it was traditionally used for fevers like chronic pyrexia and puerperal fever. It has the blood purifying property which attributed to its ability to calm the imbalance Pitta Dosha. The root is the commonly used part of manjistha. It also has anti-inflammatory property and antioxidants due to which it is used in treating allergies, acne, eczema, psoriasis and can improve your complexion by giving your skin an even tone.
4. Haldi
Turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. Curcumin is the main active ingredient present in turmeric and due to the presence of it, acts as potent anti-inflammatory agent or due to its healing properties, accelerates the healing of a cut and soothe irritation of skin. It is rich in antioxidant that helps to fight against signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. Topical application of turmeric also serves as the pain reducing agent during osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis muscle pain etc. Turmeric also helps to manage the condition of digestive problem
5. Kalihari
Kalihari with the Latin name Gloriosa superba is perennial herb and grown as a climber. It cures skin diseases and itching. It is also helpful in the treatment of piles and ulcer. Its main effects are on parasites, inflammation, and pain. It has muscle relaxant property. It has also been used in the treatment of infertility, open wounds, snakebite, ulcers, arthritis, gout, cholera, colic, kidney problems, typhus, itching, leprosy, bruises, sprains, hemorrhoids, cancer, and scorpion sting
How To Use
- Apply a few drops of nirgundi oil on the affected area and gently massage over it for effective relief, leave it for 20 -15 minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- It would be more beneficial if it is to be applied before going to shower

- It is used for external application, ointment
- It is also used for nasal therapy
- It can be used for a longer period of time if used externally
- While for nasal therapy it should not be used continuously more than a month.
