However, for mild cases, you can try some natural home remedies which we are mentioning below.

1. Ginger Tea

It’s a warm, carminative, potent herb which has many natural medicinal properties. Gingerol is the main substance in the ginger which acts as a strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent. Along with such amazing properties, it reduces the abdominal pain, cramps, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Ginger is also good for stomach related problems such as indigestion, gas, constipation, and diarrhea.

  • You can eat one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds powder with one glass of warm water.
  • Do this 1-2 time a day.

3. Cinnamon

Cinnamon is effective during menstrual symptoms like pain, heavy bleeding, nausea, and vomiting. It can be regarded as a safe and effective remedy for the treatment of these symptoms.  The cramping and painful periods are generally associated with increased production of prostaglandin through the uterine lining. Cinnamon also helps to reduce its production and slow down the uterine contraction of muscles.

  • Take one tablespoon of cinnamon powder and steep it for 5-10 minutes in hot water.
  • After 10 minutes add few drops of honey to it and drink it twice daily.

  • Add a 2-3 tablespoon of dried chamomile flower to a cup of hot water.
  • Let it steep for 5 minutes.

Exercise:  This may seem crazy for you that when you can’t even wish to move and dying in pain, we are recommending you to do exercises. But believe me exercising increases the circulation to the pelvic region and also increase the release of endorphins, which offsets the prostaglandin. You can do some yoga asanas such as Pranayama, and Shavasana. Theses asanas not only helps to reduce the pain but also helps the body to relax. You can go for a walk, do some light cardio exercise, and other low-intensity exercises on the amount you do.

All these natural ways which are mentioned above, really show some amazing results during painful periods.
