These toxins in excessive amount give birth to various diseases. Ama is a form of un-metabolized waste. This waste can’t be utilized by our body. The formation of a small amount of Ama in the digestive system is normal But when the amount of Ama increases, it causes different problems.

Ama is the root cause of the formation of various diseases. It causes dryness in the mouth, astringent taste of mouth, constipation, pain, bloating, dry skin, Bodyache, congestion. Vata Aama produces disorders like arthritis, diverticulitis, and sciatica, etc.

Pitta Aama:

If Pitta dosha affects Aama it accumulates in the central abdominal region, that further causes stagnation in liver, gall bladder, and small intestines. When Pitta Aama circulates in the blood it causes offensive smell, bitter, and sour taste of mouth. This type of Aama causes indigestion, heartburn, nausea, diarrhea, rashes, fever, other skin disorders, liver disorders, and blood infections, etc.

Kapha Aama:

When this type of Aama accumulates in the chest, lungs, sinuses, and lungs it produces sticky, foul-smelling, cloudy mucus that make the mouth sweet or salty in taste. Kapha Aama leads to cough, cold, mucus formation, sinus congestion, tenderness, and lymphatic congestion, etc.

Some important tips that will eliminate and digest Aama:

Therapeutic herbs play an important role: There are various herbs that will deal with the formation of Aama. The herbs like Ginger, garlic, coriander, fennel, and black pepper give amazing results in digesting the Aama.

Take Sun bath: When our skin exposes to sunlight it gives good results for health issues like arthritis, depression, eczema, psoriasis, and water retention problems.

Excessive sweat: Sweating is the best way to reduce Aama. Sweat helps in thinning the Aama that loosens the grip on tissues, moves this to the digestive tract, in the end, it eliminates out.

Doing yoga: Yoga warms your body, induces sweat, and calms the mind. It balances Aama in the body. All the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) are balanced with its regular practice.

Proper Diet: Diet plays an important role in treating Aama. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables keeps you fit.

Fasting: It is the best way to remove all the toxins out of the body. Fasting helps in overall detoxification and eliminates Aama out.

आमेन तेन सम्पृक्ता दोषा दुष्याश्च दूषिता।

सामा इत्युपदिश्यन्ते ये च रोगासतदुद्भवा। (अ। हृ। सू १३ /२७ )

This shloka represents that Aama causes imbalance of dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and Dushyas.
