These all occur due to some fault in our kidneys. The lifestyle and wrong eating habits give birth to a number of diseases and complications, so let\u2019s discuss a condition known as oliguria in detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is Oliguria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Oliguria is also known as hypouresis. It is a\ncondition in which there is a low output of urine more than 80 ml\/day but less\nthan 400ml\/day. The low output of urine may be a sign of kidney failure,\nmultiple organ dysfunction, dehydration, hypovolemic shock, urinary retention,\npre-eclampsia, urinary tract infections. When the urine output is less than\n500ml\/day in adults, it is known as oliguria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In children the ratio of urine output over time is\nproportional to the child&#8217;s&nbsp; body weight. When the urine output is less\nthan 1ml\/kg of body weight per hour in infants, or less than 0.5ml\/kg per hour in\nchildren, then it\nis considered as oliguria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the Symptoms of Oliguria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The lack of urine output is the first symptom. Other\nsymptoms that patient\nmay experience are dry skin, rapid\nheartbeat, fluid\nloss, kidney infection, rash, fever, enlarged kidneys, enlargement of bladder, blockage\nin the bladder which\nmay cause dribbling that indicates a poor urinary system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the Causes of Oliguria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is &nbsp;caused\nby various health issues so\nhere we are discussing a few of them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Infection and trauma:-<\/strong>It\nis a less typical cause of oliguria. When the body goes in shock it reduces the\nblood flow to your organs this may result in oliguria.<\/li><li><strong>Dehydration:-<\/strong>For\nless urine output it is the most common cause. Diarrhea, vomiting and other\nillness that leads to &nbsp;loss fluid from your body. When there is no fluid in your body,\nthe output of urine will be less so this condition causes oliguria.<\/li><li><strong>Urinary tract obstruction:-<\/strong>When there is blockage\nor obstruction in the urinary tract, the urine will not flow as per the\nrequirement. It\naffects your both kidneys. This blockage may give rise to other symptoms like\nnausea, vomiting, body ache, fever and swelling.<\/li><li><strong>Excessive usage of the medications:-<\/strong>\nOver usage of the\nmedicine like NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs),antibiotics, high\nblood pressure medicines &nbsp;may result in less\nproduction of the urine that is known as oliguria.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the Other Complications of Oliguria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the oliguria\ncondition is left untreated than it may give rise to complications such as:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heart failure,\nhypertension, anemia,\ngastrointestinal problems and platelet dysfunction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How can you Prevent Oliguria Condition?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As the most common\ncause of this oliguria is dehydration. So always try to increase your intake of\nfluid whenever you have &nbsp;suffered from\ndiarrhea, fever or other problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Which tests you should Undergo for Detecting Oliguria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Urinalysis:-<\/strong>This\ntest is done to see the infection, inflammation of bladder and kidney. It also gives details about presence of protein, red blood cells, and white blood cells.<\/li><li><strong>Urine culture:-<\/strong>The\nbacterial growth can confirm a bladder or kidney infection.<\/li><li><strong>Ultrasound:-<\/strong>This\ntest gives information\nabout cyst mass, stones etc. in kidneys.<\/li><li>Computed\ntomography.<\/li><li><strong>Blood tests:-<\/strong>Patient should undergo\nroutine blood and urine tests.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ayurvedic Treatment for Oliguria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In Ayurveda muthavahasrotas (urinary system) are the channels in the body that carry urine as it flows out liquid out of the kidneys. The flow of urine is slow and dropwise. When there is an imbalance of Pitta dosha the urine that passes is dark yellow along with blood, very painful and causes a burning sensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have numerous herbs to deal with this condition.
