Urinary tract infections (UTI)<\/a><\/strong> have become common in the present times. Around 50% females and 1 in 20 males have it. In fact in females it keeps recurring. Most of us are aware about its symptoms, a burning sensation erupts when we are urinating, frequent urination and the urine becomes cloudy, bloody or emits a very nasty smell, causing discomfort in your genitals. Bacteria can enter from many other sides to enter the body, but it finds this area to be more fertile than the other parts. It can happen anytime with the females, while having sex, or while wiping the front to the back after urinating. Their urethra is too small making the journey of germs easy to reach the destination, the bladder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An alteration in the immune system may make a person more prone to get infections. Hormonal changes are also responsible for it but the infections are more common, especially just before a menstrual period and during pregnancy. Age factor is also a cause and after menopause. Their tissues get thinner & drier during that span of time, enhancing the risk of getting more prone to get infections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The females Also run the Risk during:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  • Use spermicide jelly or a diaphragm for contraception.<\/li>
  • Have a new sexual partner, every now & then.<\/li>
  • Suffer from constipation.<\/li>
  • Had their first UTI at or before 15 years of age.<\/li>
  • Have a family history of repeated UTIs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    How to Get Diagnosis of Urinary tract infections (UTI)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    • Diagnosis is very simple. A urine test is done to know the cause of infection and treatment is done accordingly, usually a course of antibiotics is given. But if recurrent infections are happening, studies have shown that females are at a 20 % to 30% higher risk of experiencing a recurrence of infection within 3  to 4 months of the initial UTI.<\/li>
    • But don’t use the antibiotics in excess as ‘everything in excess is bad’, even they can cause an interruption in the gut flora  health leading to inviting many more infections to strike, creating further complications.<\/li>
