Cancer<\/a> is defined as the abnormal and uncontrolled proliferation of the abnormal cells, which leads to accumulation of toxins in the body and these growths are potential enough to invade and spread to another body parts and they might be malignant or non- malignant in nature. Symptoms of this disease depends upon the underlying area or the organ which is involved. According to Ayurveda, cancer is a disease which involves vitiation of all the doshas (sharirik<\/g> as well as mansik<\/g> doshas), dhatus<\/g>, malas<\/g>, srotas<\/g>, impaired Agni along with ojokshaya<\/g>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The treatment aspect of this disease involves <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Restricting abnormal growth.<\/li>
  2. Eliminating toxins from the body.<\/li>
  3. Increasing Agni.<\/li>
  4. Maintaining hormonal level.<\/li>
  5. Enhances immunity.<\/li>
  6. Rejuvenating body cells <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    As Per Modern Therapies <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    For accessing cancers and tumors they use functional imaging modalities like CT scan, MRI and PET (positron emission tomography) etc.\u00a0and then they advise chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormonal therapies etc. Chemotherapy and Radiation therapies work on the phenomenon of hyperthermia. Hyperthermia induces cell death of many tissues, so along with affected cells, our healthy cells also get destroyed which shows numerous side effects on our body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Recently, Nanoparticle research is currently an area of intense scientific research, due to a wide variety of potential applications in biomedical, optical and in electronic fields. A nanoparticle (or nanopowder or nanocluster or nanocrystal) is a microscopic particle with at least one dimension less than 100 nm. Which are used to treat cancer<\/a> and has shown less<\/g> side effects as compare<\/g> to chemical therapies.<\/g> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Even we read in newspapers about Green synthesis of metallic particles. ‘ The green synthesis of silver (AgNPs) and gold (AuNPs) nano particles<\/g> by reduction of silver nitrate and chloroauric acid solutions respectively, using fruit extract of Tanacetum vulgare (a plant commonly found in Finland). The process for the synthesis of AgNPs and AuNPs is rapid, novel and eco-friendly. Formation of the AgNPs and AuNPs were confirmed by surface plasmon spectra using UV\u2013Vis spectrophotometer and absorbance peaks at 452 and 546 nm. Different tansy fruit extract concentration (TFE), silver and gold ion concentration, temperature and contact times were experimented<\/g> in the synthesis of AgNPs and AuNPs. The properties of prepared nanoparticles were characterized by TEM, XRD, EDX and<\/g> FTIR. Finally, zeta potential values at various pH were analyzed along with corresponding SPR spectra. \u00a9 20” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    So, Nanoparticles are of great scientific interest these days, but to our Ayurvedic Community – these seem to be just fancy terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Because in Ayurveda decades ago, SWARNA BHASMA and HIRAK BHASMA have been explained as essential and most powerful medicines to treat Cancer<\/a>. Still, research works are going on Gold and Diamond that how they help in treating cancer. Let us go through their action on our body. Before that let us glance over their properties and in which form, we are utilizing them in therapies to treat Carcinoma. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
