Pranayama is\ncommonly known as control of breath as per literal\nmeaning of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetayurveda.com\/library\/anulom-vilom-pranayama\/\">Pranayama<\/a> is composed of two words: Prana and Yama. The word &#8220;Prana&#8221; means &#8220;life&#8221; or &#8220;breath&#8221; and &#8220;Aayama&#8221; means &#8220;stretch&#8221; or &#8220;expansion&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pranayama is a\ntechnique of controlled breathing for a short period of time.
